Agreement for Using the Expert Insights Community

Welcome to the Expert Insights Community, a platform for asking questions, sharing answers, and voting on cybersecurity and cloud IT solutions. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the platform, operated by Expert Insights, a company based in the United Kingdom. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Expert Insights Community. By using the platform, you confirm that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. User Conduct

• No Impersonation: You must not impersonate any person, organisation, or entity, including other users, experts, or companies. Always use your authentic identity.
• No Paid Reviews or Incentives: Posting reviews, answers, or votes in exchange for payment, incentives, or compensation is strictly prohibited. Contributions must be unbiased and genuine.
• Compliance with Guidelines: You agree to adhere to our Posting Guidelines, Content Policy, and Voting and Question Guidelines, which prohibit illegal content, harassment, spam, vote manipulation, and other disruptive behaviours.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately at support@expertinsights.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for any loss or damage due to your failure to secure your account.

4. Content Licence

By posting content (e.g., questions, answers, comments) on the platform, you grant Expert Insights a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable licence to use, reproduce, distribute, and display your content to operate and promote the community. You confirm that your content does not infringe any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights.

5. Prohibited Activities

• Engaging in illegal activities or posting illegal content, such as promoting hacking, malware distribution, or unauthorised system access.
• Violating intellectual property rights, including sharing copyrighted material without permission.
• Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent content, such as scams or phishing attempts.
• Using automated tools (e.g., bots, scripts) to manipulate votes, posts, or engagement.
• Attempting to interfere with the platform's functionality, security, or integrity.

6. Enforcement

We reserve the right to enforce these Terms at our discretion, including:

• Removing content that violates these Terms, our policies, or applicable laws without notice.
• Suspending or banning accounts for violations, such as impersonation, paid reviews, or illegal activities.
• Cooperating with law enforcement when required, including disclosing user information in response to legal requests, in compliance with UK data protection laws.

7. Intellectual Property

The Expert Insights Community, including its design, logos, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by Expert Insights or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other UK and international laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided "as is" with no guarantees of availability, performance, or suitability for any purpose. Expert Insights, its affiliates, and employees are not liable for:

• User-generated content, including its accuracy, legality, or consequences.
• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities arising from your use of the platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim will not exceed £100.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Expert Insights, its affiliates, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these Terms; or for any reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your licence to use the platform ends, but provisions on liability and indemnification survive.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes are effective upon posting to the platform. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Data Protection

14. Miscellaneous

• Entire Agreement: These Terms, along with our Content Policy, Posting Guidelines, Voting and Question Guidelines, and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Expert Insights.
• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
